Rules for using 1-800Deals

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of 1-800Deals (1-800deals.com), operated by Cloudalien Technologies LLC, PO Box 8695, Fleming Island, FL 32006 ("1-800Deals", "we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. What 1-800Deals is

1-800Deals is an online directory of home service businesses, such as water damage restoration, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, roofing and electrical companies. We are not a contractor. We do not perform, supervise, guarantee or warranty any work, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a business you find on the site.

2. Listings and business information

  • Listings are based on information businesses publish themselves, such as their own websites and location pages, and other public sources, or on information a business owner provides. We try to keep listings accurate, but we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current or error-free, including phone numbers, addresses, hours, services, service areas or licensing.
  • A listing is not an endorsement or recommendation. Before hiring anyone, check the business yourself, including its licensing, insurance, reviews and written estimates.
  • "Unclaimed" listings have not been claimed by the business. Messages sent to an unclaimed listing are received by 1-800Deals and may be forwarded to the business.

3. Trademarks and brand names

Business names, brand names, logos and trademarks shown on the site belong to their respective owners. They are used only to identify the businesses listed. Unless a page clearly states otherwise, 1-800Deals is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any listed business, franchise system or brand owner. Brand owners and businesses can contact us to correct or remove a listing.

4. Business accounts and claimed listings

  • You may claim a listing only for a business you own or are authorized to represent. We review claims and may ask you to verify ownership. We may refuse or reverse a claim.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account login secure and for all activity under your account, and for making sure that what you post is accurate, lawful and yours to use.
  • By adding content to your listing, such as text, photos or logos, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the site and use it to promote your listing.
  • We may edit, suspend or remove listings, content or accounts that are inaccurate, misleading or unlawful, or that violate these Terms.

5. Paid programs

Some business programs, such as pay-per-call, may be offered under separate terms. If those terms conflict with these Terms, the program terms apply to that program.

6. Phone calls and messages

When you call a business from a listing, you are dealing directly with that business. Where a page offers a general "call a local pro" service, that page will say so. Those calls may be connected to an independent provider in our network and may be recorded, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • post false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful content, or fake reviews;
  • impersonate a business or person;
  • scrape, copy or harvest listings or contact information in bulk;
  • send spam through the site;
  • interfere with the site's security or operation;
  • use the site in violation of any law.

8. Reviews and user content

If you post reviews or other content, you are responsible for it. It must reflect your own genuine experience. We may remove content at our discretion.

9. Our content

The site's design, text, graphics, guides and compilation of listings are owned by Cloudalien Technologies LLC or its licensors. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy or reuse it for another purpose without our written permission.

10. Links to other websites

The site links to websites we do not control, including businesses' own websites. We are not responsible for their content, products or services.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Our free guides are general information, not professional advice. For emergencies involving gas, electrical hazards, flooding or structural danger, contact emergency services or your utility company first.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOUDALIEN TECHNOLOGIES LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. IT IS ALSO NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY BUSINESS LISTED ON THE SITE OR FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cloudalien Technologies LLC from claims arising out of your content, your use of the site or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clay County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
