1-800Deals (1-800deals.com) is operated by Cloudalien Technologies LLC, PO Box 8695, Fleming Island, FL 32006 ("1-800Deals", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us.

Messages and contact forms: your name, email address, phone number and message when you contact us or send a message to a listed business.
Email sign-ups: your first name and email address when you request one of our free guides or subscribe to updates.
Business accounts: if you claim or add a listing, your name, email address, phone number, business details, and anything you add to your listing (such as photos, hours and services).
Program sign-ups: if you join a waitlist or apply for a business program, the details you enter on that form.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies. This includes recording when a call or phone-number button is used on a listing, together with the listing, city, service type and device type. We do not record the content of your phone calls through the website, and our analytics does not collect your phone number.

Business listing information. Our directory lists businesses using information those businesses publish themselves, such as their own websites and location pages, and other public sources. This is business information, such as company name, business address, business phone number, services and service area.

How we use information

To operate the directory, show listings and respond to your requests and messages.
To deliver messages you send to a listed business.
To send the guides and emails you ask for. Our email list uses double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link first, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
To manage business accounts, verify claims and keep listings accurate.
To understand how the site is used, measure which listings receive interest, and improve the site.
To contact a listed business about its listing, for example to invite it to claim or update the listing.
To protect the site and our users, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with the law.

How we share information

With the business you contact. When you send a message to a listing, we share your message and contact details with that business. If the listing has not been claimed yet, we receive the message and may forward it to the business.
With service providers who help us run the site, such as our website platform, hosting and email delivery providers and Google Analytics. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of 1-800Deals, our users or others.
In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Phone calls

When you call a business from a listing, your call goes to that business, and your phone company and the business handle the call. If we offer a general "call a local pro" service on a page, that page will say so. Calls placed through it may be routed through a call-tracking provider and recorded for quality and billing, and your phone number will be shared with the provider who answers the call.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each email.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us or email michael@1-800deals.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Business owners

If your business is listed and you want the listing corrected or removed, contact us. You can also claim your listing for free to update it yourself.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children

1-800Deals is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Listings and pages may link to websites we do not control, including businesses' own websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
